L'architecte Joseph Diongre a donné au complexe sa forme caractéristique de paquebot majestueux, un concept qui a impressionné le monde entier par son architecture innovante, sa fonctionnalité exceptionnelle et son acoustique révolutionnaire.

The iconic radio building on the always bustling Flagey Square was constructed between 1935 and 1938 as a progressive “sound factory” for the National Institute for Radio Broadcasting. Architect Joseph Diongre gave the complex its characteristic shape of a stately packet boat, a concept that made an international impression with its innovative architecture, exceptional functionality and groundbreaking acoustics.
