This year’s season ends with a cello concert, part of the ‘Young Hungarian Talents’ concert series launched in . The performing artist is Eszter Agárdi.
Raised in a musical family by a cello teacher mother together with musician brothers, Eszter Agárdi has developed quite early a great musical sense. She started to play the cello at the age 3. It took less than a year, she has performed at concerts. She won her first music competition at the age 5. Since then, she has won two national and nine international competitions. Currently she is a student of the Academy of Music in Budapest, his master is István Varga. Beside her studies, she regularly attends master classes in Hungary and also in Europe.
She has participated twice at the Encuentro Festival in Santander, Spain where she has studied from renowned musicians such as Frans Helmerson, Alexander Rudin, Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Michel Béroff, Hansjörg Schellenberger and Zakhar Bron.
As a soloist, she gave concerts all over Hungary as well as in abroad, including performances in Venice, Jerusalem, the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Shostakovich Concert Hall in St. Petersburg. Furthermore, she has performed several times on stage as a soloist accompanied by a symphonic orchestra. She affirms, it is always a great pleasure and outstanding experience to play in big concert halls, however, she also attaches great importance to bring classical music to small towns where there are few opportunities to attend musical events.
