Stricto Sensu- Heidi Wayenberg, Flute & Marilena Souri, Piano
J.S. Bach, C. Reinecke, P.I.Tchaikovsky,
R. Schumann and F.Poulenc
Marilena Souri (Greece) and Heidi Wayenberg (Belgium) met in Leuven, both of them being students in Lemmensinstituut (LUCA School of Arts). After playing together in some projects, they felt the need to strengthen their artistic bond; naturally enough, Duo Stricto Sensu was created.
The duo has already performed several times in both Belgium and Greece. Pianist Marilena Souri is currectly a student of Alan Weiss, after having completed her education in Athens. Heidi obtained her Master in flute at the Brussels conservatory in the class of Carlos Bruneel. Due to her interest in chamber music, she decided to pursue an additional study in Luca School of Arts, where she obtained a specialized Master's degree in chamber music.
Creating a rich spectrum of timbre, the combination of flute and piano, is among the most charming ones for performers and audience. From a diverse repertoire, Stricto Sensu selected works of J.S. Bach, C. Reinecke, P.I.Tchaikovsky, R. Schumann and F.Poulenc to transmit the powerful and playful atmosphere of their artistry.
