From 5th to 8th of September , Brussels Gallery Weekend held its 1edition. 39 galleries, a dozen of institutions and various art spaces opened their doors to the public. Once again, Brussels Gallery Weekend represented a major event in the international calendar of contemporary art. It also contributed to reinforce the image of the Belgian capital as a major destination for contemporary art and allowed to highlight the diversity of its contributors.
counted a huge increase of participants and brought in the programme a « meeting point » in the Vanderborght building, located in the heart of the city. The building also hosted an exhibition dedicated to artists living in Brussels not yet represented by a Brussels gallery, which included about artists from 40 different nationalities.
