CD release of the Bajkó Zenekar and Panni Demeter - Traditional folk music from Transylvania.

“Párosan” (‘Couples’) is a survey of Central Transylvania’s rich and archaic string band tradition. Aiming at elaboration and balance, it features two tracks from each region: from Mezség / Câmpia Transilvaniei, from along River Kis-Küküll / Târnava Mic, and the valley of River Kis-Szamos / Someul Mic.

The Bajkó Band was created in the spring of in Budapest, Hungary with the participation of four enthusiastic young musicians representing different regions of the Carpathian Basin. Their common language is the Hungarian folk music, the cohesion comes from friendship and their common aspire for progress.

Demeter Panni was born in Târgu-Mure/Marosvásárhely (Romania). She started learning folk dances and songs at the age of 10. She soon became the singing leader of the folk dancing groups she was member of performing on several festivals, concerts and various events in Romania, Hungary and abroad. Her songs feature on several Cd-S, furthermore, she has three own albums.
