Quentin Dujardin (guitare nylon) & Olivier Ker Ourio (harmonica chromatique) / Olivier Ker Ourio et Quentin Dujardin se rencontrent en 2016 lors d'un studio en compagnie de Richard Bona, Manu Katché et Ivan Paduart. La vibration commune qu'ils partagent pour les mélodies les place devant cette évidence: faire un jour un disque ensemble pour graver l'intensité de ce son original qu'ils pressentent. Depuis cet heureux croisement, le temps a fait son oeuvre autour de leurs approches musicales respectives: jazz pour l'harmoniciste, crossover pour le guitariste. Serendipity, c'est un univers sonore empli de couleurs vives & chaudes, c'est la traversée d'un océan de notes bleues, alternant entre mer calme et traversées tempétueuses. Ces vagues nous emportent d'un port à l'autre. Un voyage vers des espaces immenses provoqué par la bienveillance du hasard: la sérendipité. Olivier Ker Ourio n'est en effet jamais loin de son pays natal, La Réunion et de ses réminiscences rocailleuses dans le blues qu'elle porte; Quentin Dujardin quant à lui, nous transporte avec fraîcheur sur ce groove quasi malien survolé de guitares slides.



QUENTIN Dujardin (nylon guitar) & Olivier Ker Ourio (chromatic harmonica) / Olivier Ker Ourio and Quentin Dujardin met in 2016 during a studio session with Richard Bona, Manu Katché and Ivan Paduart. Their shared love of melody made it obvious that one day they would make an album together to capture the intensity of the original sound they sensed.

Since that happy crossroads, time has taken its toll on their respective musical approaches: jazz for the harmonica player, crossover for the guitarist.
Serendipity is a world of sound filled with bright, warm colours, an ocean of blue notes, alternating between calm seas and stormy crossings. The waves carry us from one port to another. It's a journey into vast spaces, brought about by the kindness of chance: serendipity. Olivier Ker Ourio is never far from his native Réunion, with its rocky reminiscences in the blues it carries, while Quentin Dujardin transports us with freshness on this almost Malian groove overlaid with slide guitars.
