Rebetiko Reloaded: Koutsourelis // Christakopoulos // Makris
Bound by deep friendship and a shared passion for Greek urban popular music, Alexis Koutsourelis (bouzouki), Giannis Christakopoulos (accordion), and Pericles Makris (guitar) unite for their first Northern European tour.
With collaborations spanning from the Athens Concert Hall to the Dutch National Opera and the Intercultural Orchestra of the Greek National Opera, as well as acclaimed tours across Europe, Asia and beyond, they've earned the respect of masters and peers alike— and were praised for their virtuosity, authenticity, and emotional depth.
The trio blends the freedom of Jazz improvisation, the ornamented
melodies of the East, and the earthy Mediterranean groove, all while
remaining true to the soul of tradition.
