Laura Lahera and Darío Acosta Teich share the passion of latin music and jazz. Together they recreate the tunes of their country, ranging from folklore to Tango songs in a magical musical dialogue between the voice and the guitar.
Laura Lahera, born in La Plata, Argentina, studied at renowned Schools and conservatories both in La Plata and Buenos Aires and with classical singers Maria Fullin Mary Jordan. She sang contemporary classical music and performed at Theaters Colon and Cervantes. At the same time, she sang at many famous jazz and tango places in Buenos Aires, like the famous El Viejo Almacén. When the army dictatorship was at rage, she left her country and began touring as a jazz singer. She has since circled the globe via London, Israel, Holland, Hong Kong, Belgium, Tokyo and Estonia, among others, performing at renowned theaters, like Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Performing Art's Theater (Hong Kong); Bozar (Brussels) and participated in many tango shows all over the world.
Darío Acosta Teich is an Argentinian guitar performer, composer and arranger born in the province of Tucuman, Argentina. He studied with recognized teachers and musicians in Tucumán, Buenos Aires and Europe. He performed in many prestigious theaters and Concert Halls in Argentina and around the world and participated in many festivals as a performer and as a composer. He is now finishing a Master in Jazz studies at the University of Jerusalem, Israel. His new album is being released in Berlin this month.
