Contemporary solo violin performance

The performance will combine pieces dealing with the physical - ‘outer’ - aspects of the performance, and the embodied experiencing the sound. Traversing back and forth the visual perception of the sound over visualising the sound to sounding the visual only to find the line between inner and outer blurred. The “Front. In. Behind. Here.
Now.” aims to follow the journey and relationship of an object of sounding and a sound maker as it happens in the one specific space-time momentum. The program will feature pieces for solo violin by Dario Buccino*, Aaron Cassidy, Clara Iannotta, Liza Lim, Rebecca Saunders*, and Lucio Tasca*.
